Built for artists who are building something real.

  • Southern Legacy is a creative house built to amplify artists and stories rooted in the South—through, brand development, storytelling and hands-on artist support.

  • Southern Legacy operates in two ways:

    1. We work directly with artists whose talent and music are undeniable — whose brand, presentation, and business need the right support to reflect their skill. Not raw talent. Not already fully packaged. The artist whose sound is ready and whose image and infrastructure are ready to be built around it.

    2. We spotlight artists who are already creating and releasing high level work through written features in Southern Legacy Press and curated discovery in The Listening Room. Not every artist we feature is on our roster, but every feature is intentional.

From the Founder

“I founded Southern Legacy because I wanted a platform where artists and their stories would be handled with care. With over 20 years of experience, I know the fatigue of trying to figure everything out on your own — and I wanted to offer the kind of support that makes artists feel like they don’t have to.”

- Katera Anderson, Founder

FAQs

  • No. Southern Legacy is an artist elevation platform. We don’t manage your career or negotiate deals on your behalf — we work alongside you to build the strategy, branding, and systems that help you manage your own career more effectively.

  • No. We operate with the selectivity of a label — artists are curated and added to our roster — but we are not a label. We don’t offer advances, and we don’t own your music or take a percentage of your earnings as a company.

  • We work directly with artists whose talent and music are undeniable — whose brand, presentation, and business need the right support to reflect their skill. Not raw talent. Not already fully packaged. The artist whose sound is ready and whose image and infrastructure are ready to be built around it.

  • Services are tailored to each artist on our roster but generally include branding, strategy, and guided walkthroughs of the tools and systems that keep a music career moving — distribution, copyright, timelines, and more. Every artist’s experience looks a little different based on what they need.

  • For roster artists, our engagement is a one year commitment. Within that year, we meet monthly to assess progress, adjust strategy, and make sure you’re moving toward your goals with the support and accountability you need.

  • Yes. Being on our roster is a paid service. Pricing details are shared during the application process.

  • Yes, always. Your art is yours. Southern Legacy never takes a percentage of your music or your creative work as a company.

  • Southern Legacy Press is our editorial space where we spotlight artists putting out high level work that deserves more attention. The Listening Room is our music discovery page where you can explore new music from artists on our radar. Artists featured in either space are not necessarily on our roster — this is simply our way of contributing to and celebrating a broader creative community.
